Maltese nationals living in the UK will be entitled to vote in the upcoming referendum to decide whether Britain stays in the European Union – just as they are allowed, with equal rights with the natives – to vote in local and national elections.

When will Malta return the compliment to expat Britons who live and pay taxes here, and give them the right to vote in government elections?

Or are the Labour and Nationalist parties terrified of what the outcome might be?
