George Preca is a saint of our times, not because of any extraordinary events recorded during his life, but above all because of the living monument that he left behind in the Society of the MUSEUM.

Fr George was beatified by John Paul II on May 9, 2001.

To celebrate the Feast of St George Preca, the following activities are being organised:

Today

Triduum Mass at 6pm in the Chapel of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal at Blata l-Bajda.

Tomorrow

A Diocesan pilgrimage organised by the Diocese of Gozo to the Chapel of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal at Blata l-Bajda. Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will say Mass in the Chapel at 5pm.

The chapel will be open between 7am and 12pm.

Monday

Solemn Mass led by the Vicar General, Mgr Joseph Galea Curmi in the Chapel of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal at Blata l-Bajda at 6pm. The faithful, especially the devotees of St George Preca are invited to gather together to pray.

The chapel will be open from 7am till 12pm and from 4pm till 9pm. The faithful are invited to visit and pray in front of the remains of St George Preca.
