All national newspapers today lead with a story on yesterday’s Parliamentary debate on a motion of no confidence in Minister Konrad Mizzi.

Times of Malta reports independent MP Marlene Farrugia, who moved the motion, saying the government had squandered a chance at closure on the Panama scandal. In another story, it says that another 23 co-owners of a property at the centre of the Gaffarena land scandal want to join the case filed by Joseph Muscat as MP and the Attorney General to reverse the multimillion-euro deal.

The Malta Independent reports about the Prime Minister’s flying visit to Libya yesterday during which he told designate PM Fayez Serraj Malta was willing to reopen its diplomatic mission in Tripoli if Libya ensured the safety of Maltese diplomats.

In-Nazzjon dedicates its front page to Opposition leader Simon Busuttil’s address in Parliament during the no confidence motion.

L-Orizzont reports the General Workers’ Union insisting it still enjoyed representation at the Freeport in spite of losing a vote to the UHM because of an industrial agreement signed in the past.
