We came to Malta on March 23 via Paris but our luggage did not arrive. After we filled out the required forms, we left for the hotel. The next day we went to the airport to enquire about the luggage and were told it would arrive the following day.

We went to the airport in our rental car, which we parked there. As we were about to pay the parking fee the wind blew the ticket out of my wife’s hands. We tried to locate it but could not, so we went to the kiosk to tell the lady what happened.

She said we have to pay €25 and we pleaded with her that we were only there for about 30 minutes but she would not listen.

Then I remarked that, given the security measures in place, she could verify what we were saying by watching CCTV footage but she said there was none.

It’s hard to believe that no security cameras were installed at an airport.

I understand that there might be people who would try to take advantage but, in our case, we had all the documents for her to see. However, it was all in vain.
