Championship leader Nico Rosberg maintained his 100% formula one season record this afternoon by winning the grand prix in Sochi, Russia.

He led from pole and was never troubled.

Mercedes team-mate Lewis Hamilton, who started from tenth, came in second while the Ferrari of Kimi Raikkonen was third.

William driver Bottas, who started second, came in fourth followed by team-mate Felipe Massa in fifth.

McLaren's Fernando Alonso got his first points of the season with sixth. It was a double points finish for McLaren, with Jenson Button coming in tenth.

Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel, who started third, retired in the first lap after being hit by the Red Bull of Daniel Kyvat.

Rosberg now leads Hamilton by 43 points.
