Lazio: Reports in Italy yesterday said that Lazio are prepared to open negotiations with Fatih Terim to become their coach next season. Il Tempo said Terim is set for his third stint in the Serie A following spells at Milan and Fiorentina. After leaving Milan, Terim returned to Galatasaray and at present is the Turkey national team coach. The report said Lazio will offer Terim a two-year deal.

Leeds: Steve Evans expects his future at Leeds to be decided by Massimo Cellino before their final game of the season next Saturday. Coach Evans saw his side beaten 2-1 by Charlton at Elland Road yesterday but he remains upbeat about keeping his job. Evans said: “You never hope one result is the difference between whether you are kept or not. I had a very good meeting with the president this week and it went very well.”

Kasabian: Indie rockers Kasabian have announced they will perform at Leicester City’s King Power Stadium as the team come within touching distance of title glory. The lifelong Foxes’ fans said it was the “perfect time” to stage the concert, which will take place on May 28, in what they hope will be a celebratory atmosphere. The band had originally planned to play at the ground next year, but decided to move the event forward given the team’s run of form.

Kluivert JR: Patrick Kluivert’s teenage son has signed his first professional contract with Dutch giants Ajax. Striker Justin Kluivert, 16, has been on Ajax’s books since 2007 and has earned himself a three-year professional deal that begins on July 1, 2016. He said: “I’ve been playing for nine years at Ajax Amsterdam now. This means a lot to me. It is a reward for everything I’ve done so far.”

Shaw: Luke Shaw hopes he will be back in a Manchester United shirt before the end of the season. The left-back suffered a horrific double fracture of his leg in United’s Champions League match against PSV on Sept. 15. Shaw said: “I’m back outside now. I’m just going to keep pushing and see what happens. Hopefully, I’ll see the fans before the end of the season.”

Mertens: Belgium international Dries Mertens wants to prolong his stay at Napoli. The winger is still under contract until 2018. “Life is really good in Italy,” he said. “I speak often with other players who have left and they always say that they still miss it. This summer there will be clarity: either I renew my contract or I leave. It depends on Napoli. We have to sit down and talk about a contract extension. I feel good here.”
