Johann Strauss School of Music is holding an open day on Wednesday from 3.30 to 7.30pm at its premises at Maria Assumpta School, Joseph Abela Scolaro Street, Ħamrun.

The school offers over 30 courses run by top musicians for beginners to advanced students, as well as adult learners. Students may attend a weekly individual practical lesson on the instrument of their choice, music knowledge and understanding classes or contemporary and jazz courses.

Most orchestral instruments are catered for, as well as saxophone, classical and contemporary guitar, bass guitar, bagpipe, piano, classical and contemporary voice and accordion.

The school occasionally invites foreign tutors to run master classes and workshops for students.

The open day is an opportunity for the public, parents and prospective young and adult students to visit the facilities, meet teachers, hear instruments and try them out, and learn about the courses on offer.
