Maltese sports scholars addressed the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology’s first sports conference held at Students’ House at the college in Corradino.

Dawn Aquilina spoke about dual-career management, Gemma van-Vuuren Cassar spoke about curricular innovation for physical education and sports coaching, Angelo Chetcuti and Jonathan Agius dealt with governance and administration, and Dorianne Carauna Bonnici and Adele Muscat covered nutrition and psychology respectively.

Kirill Micallef Stafrace and Danica Bonello Spiteri led medical workshops at the conference.

The conference was also ad­dressed by Parliamentary Secretary Chris Agius, Mcast principal and CEO Stephen Cachia, Sport Malta acting chief executive officer Mark Cutajar. Silvio De Bono, president of the Mcast board of governors, spoke about the college’s plans to further develop its sports programmes.

The conference was held as part of the National Sports Forum organised by Sportmalta.
