Premier League leaders Leicester City, who beat Swansea City 4-0 at home in their last outing, will be on their travels this weekend as they play Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The Foxes, seven points clear at the top with only three matches left, will become champions if they beat United tomorrow.

Nearest pursuers Tottenham Hotspur, surprisingly held to a 1-1 draw at home by West Brom-wich Albion on Monday, also have a difficult fixture coming up as they clash in a London derby at Chelsea on Monday.

Last week, Leicester’s Riyad Mahrez was voted PFA Player of the Year. Unselfishly, he dedicated the prize to his Leicester team-mates. Tottenham’s Dele Alli carried the Young Player award.

Claudio Ranieri said Leicester have shown they can cope without the suspended Jamie Vardy after their win over Swansea. Vardy is out of the trip to United as well.

“Really, it has become difficult to beat us lately, my team plays with heart and soul,” Ranieri said.

Leicester have only beaten United, who are still in the running for a top-four finish and in the FA Cup final, once in nine previous Premier League clashes at Old Trafford.

At Tottenham, manager Mauricio Pochettino believes he has a duty to build his team around a core of English players. The success he achieved is down to his bold decision to focus on home stars rather than flooding his squad with foreign talent.

Kyle Walker, Danny Rose, Eric Dier, Dele Alli and Harry Kane have all contributed to put Tottenham among the major contenders this season.

Eden Hazard will not be moving away from Chelsea and will return to top form next season, according to interim boss Guus Hiddink.

After an emphatic 4-0 win over Stoke City, Manchester City continue with their quest to finish among the top four at the end of the season with a match away at Southampton.

In midweek, City could not go beyond a goalless draw at home to Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-final first leg but Manuel Pellegrini’s team are still in contention and could spring a surprise at the Bernabeu next week.

Arsenal, on the same total of 64 points as City, entertain relegation-troubled Norwich at the Emirates Stadium this evening. Last Sunday’s goalless draw against Sunderland meant the Gunners have no chance of catching up with leaders Leicester.

The Gunners fans are not happy with the situation and manager Arsene Wenger admitted the pro-spect of a year without Champions League football is a “worry”.

The failure to beat Newcastle at home, despite being in front 2-0, has saddened the Liverpool fans along with the shock news that defender Mamadou Sakho is facing a long-term ban after testing positive for doping.

Tomorrow, the Reds play at 15th-placed Swansea after figuring in the Europa League semi-finals, first leg, against Villarreal on Thursday. The Spaniards carry a 1-0 lead into next week’s second leg at Anfield.
