ATTARD. On April 27, at Mater Dei Hospital, LINO of Ħamrun, living in Sliema, aged 84, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Doris, his children, Jacqueline and her husband Etienne Micallef Grimaud, Michelle and her husband, Albert Bonello, Keith and his grandchildren Chantelle, Alain, Sarah, Stephanie, Nicola, Elena and Kurt, his brothers, sisters and in-laws, relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Friday, April 29 at 1.30pm for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at 2pm, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Ursuline Sisters, Sliema, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

BORG. On April 26, at Mater Dei Hospital, Mary, née Falzon, widow of John, of St Julian’s, formerly of Cospicua, aged 92, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Tonio, Albert, Mario, Frank, Oscar, Edgar, Felix and Joseph, their spouses, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her brothers Laurence, Alfred and Twanny and their spouses, her in-laws Frank, Joe, Tessie and their spouses, and Doris, widow of Twanny, other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said tomorrow at 8.30am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish church, Balluta, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Special thanks go to the staff of Ward M4 at Mater Dei Hospital and to the Franciscan Sisters, Home for the Elderly, in Mġarr for their care and dedication. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

De BONO. On April 26, at Mater Dei Hospital, FRANK, aged 88, passed away peacefully and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He will be sadly missed by his wife Yvonne, their children Alex, Jennifer, Ivan, and Martin, their spouses Gillian, Carmen and Sangmi, his grandchildren Sebastian, Zach, Oliver and Jamie, his great-granddaughter Katrina Sant Fournier, Vera Sant Fournier and Mary Ann Sant Fournier. He will also be missed by his sister Doris Mifsud and her children and all his nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. Mass will be said tomorrow at 2pm at Our Lady of Lourdes parish church, San Ġwann. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

MIZZI. On April 25, SALVU of Żebbuġ, widower of Carmela, aged 81, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Johnny and his wife Jenny, Philip and his wife Carmen, Lina and her husband Frans Abela, Fr Joseph Mizzi, Maryanne and her husband Charles Abela, and Sonia and her husband Ivan Mifsud, his grandchildren Bernice and Marylyn, Janika and Daniel, Franklin, Joseph, Philip and Marija, Matthew, Andrè and Gabriel, Samuel, Philip and Veronique, many other relatives and friends. The funeral takes place tomorrow with Mass præsente cadavere being said at 7.45am at St Philip’s parish church, Żebbuġ, followed by interment at Sant’ Andrija Cemetery, Żebbuġ. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, would be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

VELLA – LAWRENCE, 27.4.03, 13th anniversary. Deeply missed by his wife Emily, sons Mario, Joe, Emidio, Edwin and Leonard and daughters Marlene, Connie, Monica, Lycia and Isabella, their spouses and all his grandchildren, relatives and friends. “God, you must have known our earthly need for someone wiser, someone whose touch could transform clouds into sunshine, tears into joy, sadness into laughter, and that is why You made fathers like Yourself.
