Crawley: Crawley boss Mark Yates and assistant manager Jimmy Dack have left their roles with immediate effect. The Reds are currently 18th in England’s League Two, 14 points above the relegation zone, and have already secured their Football League status for next season. Yates, 46, took over at Broadfield Stadium in May 2015 following the club’s relegation from League One and has been in charge of the team for just under a year.

Bendtner: Danish international striker Nicklas Bendtner is to leave Wolfsburg after the two parties mutually agreed to terminate his contract, the German club said on their website yesterday. The club said neither their expectations nor those of the 28-year-old Bendtner, who scored nine times in 47 games after signing a three-year deal on a free transfer from Arsenal in 2014, had been met. Bendtner spent nine years with Arsenal but never established himself in the first team.

Batshuayi: Tottenham target Michy Batshuayi, 22, wants to play in the Champions League if he is allowed to leave Marseille this summer. Four clubs – Spurs, West Ham, Juventus and Roma – are showing strong interest in the Belgian forward, who has scored 19 goals in 43 appearances this term. Reports said if Marseille agree to sell their star man, Batshuayi will prioritise clubs playing in the Champions League. Batshuayi moved to Marseille in 2014.

Nantes: Nantes coach Michel Der Zakarian is to leave his post at the end of the season. Der Zakarian cited his working relationship with club president Waldemar Kita as a reason for his announcement, but the club thanked the coach for his efforts during a four-year reign which has seen the club re-establish themselves in the top flight.

Refs’ Views: The Italian referees association will be allowing its members to attend interviews after matches as from next season. “Next season we’ll have an initial testing phase in which referees will be allowed to speak after the game,” Serie A referee Nicola Rizzoli said. “I think that’s going to happen soon. We’ll see if people are willing to listen to us, though speaking after certain matches can be very difficult.”

Primera Liga: Celta Vigo vs Granada 2-1.
