BARTOLO. On April 20 at his residence, CHARLIE of St Paul’s Bay, aged 81, known as Marsa Bookmaker and honorary president of St Paul’s Band, St Paul’s Bay, went to meet the Risen Lord comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved Rita, his children Jody, Jason and Rebecca, his nephews and nieces, Rita’s children Jocelyn, Maryrose, their spouses and nephew Craig, his brothers and sisters, Wistin, Paola, Manuel, Maria, Doris and Joe and their families other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Tuesday, April 26, at 3pm for St Paul’s Street, St Paul’s Bay (church area) where St Paul’s Band of St Paul’s Bay will salute the corpse prior to entrance to Our Lady of Sorrows parish church, St Paul’s Bay, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 4pm, followed by interment at the Ħniena Divina cemetery, St Paul’s Bay. Donations to Hospice Malta, Balzan, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
MIZZI. On April 19, Dr ALEX, aged 96, passed peacefully away, in Richmond, Virginia, USA comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his sad loss, his son Arthur and his wife Jai Lin, Martha and her husband Richard Bertolino, Kathy Todd, Mary-Ellen Mizzi Kinser and Janet Mizzi Flavin, his 12 grandchildren, his sisters Norah, Yvonne (Sister Margaret Mary SJA) and Doris, his niece Anna-Maria and her husband Lawrence Bonello, other relatives and friends.
