In his recent meetings Leader of the Opposition Simon Busutill is using the wrong body language, which definitely doesn’t match his character. It will benefit him more if he uses a calm and relaxed manner of body language to reach the masses.

Prime Minister Joseph Muscat looks more professional and diplomatic in the way he conveys his messages to the public. Busutill stands to lose if he continues his militant style hand gestures that remind us of Dom Mintoff and Karmenu Mifsud Bonnici.

Politicians, especially party leaders, should show more professionalism when addressing the public. Exaggerated hand gestures and aggressiveness will only lessen their support, and uncover the cracks in their confidence and leadership.
