GVTH Advocates, one of Malta’s long-standing legacy firms, has announced a merger with the legal practice of Dr Andrew J. Zammit (formerly practising under the name CSB Advocates).

The newly formed GVZH Advocates, which started operating on April 4, will provide clients with deeper expertise and a wider spectrum of skills under one roof.

“Today’s business environment demands that legal advisors have both skills and expertise geared towards addressing specific and technical issues in the context of complex projects, transactions and disputes,” said partner Andrew J. Zammit, who had set up CSB Advocates (formerly Zammit & Associates - Advocates) in 2006 and who has been appointed as managing partner of the firm.

GVZH partner Gege Vella – the managing partner at GVTH Advocates, set up in 1996 – added: “This decision was driven by the complementarity of the firms’ respective practices and is the result of several months of detailed planning. The transition into GVZH will be a seamless experience for clients of both firms.”

The combined firm will offer specialities in corporate law, tourism and hospitality, real estate projects, intellectual property, franchising and pharmaceuticals, mergers and acquisitions, financial services regulation, banking and finance, technology, media and telecommunications, shipping and yachting, residence and citizenship solutions and e-commerce, among other fields.

The partners of the new firm are Albert S. Grech, Michael Grech, George M. Hyzler, Joseph J. Vella, Andrew J. Zammit and Joseph L. Zammit Maempel.

GVZH Advocates will continue operating from the offices of the former GVTH Advocates situated at 192, Old Bakery Street, Valletta.
