As I write I am watching theparliamentary session discussing the motion of no confidence in the government.
Till now, the ‘Konrad Mizzi’ campaign embarked upon by Simon Busuttil has been massive, direct and a factor of unity that makes the Nationalist Party once again a force to be reckoned with. However, today, everything seems to be falling apart.
Choosing to battle politically in a field where you are bound to lose is the epitome of poli-tical strategy that is bound to go sour and reflects the emotional euphoria which is dominating Busuttil in his decisions rather than a clear focused mind.
I strongly think the PN would only stand a chance of winning the next election if the leadership does not make more gaffes.
