The Gozo Philatelic Society has set up a new exhibit in their showcase on level -1 at Il-Ħaġar, Pjazza San Ġorġ, Victoria.

A selection of 10 letters marked as disinfected at Manoel Island’s Lazaretto, forming part of the Juncker Melitensia collection donated to the philatelic society, gives an insight into an interesting – but possibly forgotten – aspect of our social history.

The museum also hosts an old painting depicting the Raising of Lazarus whose cult is long-established in St George’s Basilica.

Opening hours are 9am-5pm from Monday to Sunday.
