FENECH GASAN. On April 15, at St James Capua Hospital, RAYMOND, known as Ray Gasan, aged 79, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, after a long illness borne with Christian fortitude. He leaves to mourn his great loss his wife Marie-Louise née Debono, his children Roberta and her husband Dr Ramon Tonna, Angela and her husband Christian Mifsud, and Richard and his wife Alison née Attard, his grandchildren Philippa and her fiancé Gin Micallef, Raphael, Julian, Francesca, Amy and Robert, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St James Capua Hospital on Tuesday, April 19, at 1.30pm for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Hospice Movement will be greatly appreciated. Lord grant him eternal rest.
GALEA. On April 15, VITTORIA, née Demarco, aged 96, widow of Anthony, went to meet the Risen Lord. Never forgotten by her children Doris, Ninette, Tony and Therese and their spouses, her grandchildren Louise, Susan, Ioannis, Neil, Antoine, Warren, Darren, Vicky, Andrea and Anthony Jnr, her great-grandchildren Khaila, Kian, Matteo, Sandy, Zyanick and Nia, her brothers and sisters, her brother-in-law and their families, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul residence today at 11am for St Publius parish church, Floriana, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 11.30am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
GRECH. On April 5, in Sydney, NSW, Australia, MARY, née Vella, widow of Paul, passed away peacefully at the age of 93. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Paul, Josette, Alice, Patricia, Fr Richard, OFM, and Gilbert, family and friends. A Mass for the repose of her soul will be celebrated on Friday, April 22, at 4pm at St Mary of Jesus (Ta’ Ġieżu) church, Rabat. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
MALLIA. On April 16, at Mater Dei Hospital, PETER, aged 63, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Isabelle née Busuttil, his sister Nathalie, his brother Ernest and his wife Louise, his nephews and niece Kevin Crockford and his wife Sharon, Karyn and her husband Nick Simpson, Andrew and their families, his in-laws George Busuttil and his wife Vera, Yvonne and her husband John Treeby and their respective families, all the members of the Cenacolo Community, of which he formed part, other relatives and friends. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 18, at 2pm at Għajn Dwieli church, Paola. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
