I have had the pleasure of visiting this beautiful nation, and my uncle, who moved here five years ago, showed me the many sites.

One of Malta’s treasures is without doubt the people who live here. I experienced this for myself when I forgot my wallet at the market and returned to find that not only had the proprietress kept my wallet safe, she had chased after another customer whom she thought might have left it.

She told me: “If the wallet had a million dollars, I would have done the same.” I was, of course, delighted and grateful, but perhaps not surprised, given the reputation of the Maltese people.

I will be enjoying the beeswax creams that I purchased when I return to the US and I know the smell will bring to mind Malta, with the warmest of appreciation.
