The attached photo shows part of the main thoroughfare in Marsalforn, where a small bridge connects the two sides of this fishing village.

The bridge happens to be almost right in front of the main bus station. Since this is a two-way street, one can easily imagine the amount of traffic that clogs this bottleneck, especially during the summer months. In the circumstances Transport Malta has wisely decided to paint double yellow lines on both sides of the bridge, except for a space for one car on one side of it.

Could TM kindly explain the logic behind this, if there is any logic at all?
