I did not expect Prime Minister Joseph Muscat to take advice from the leader of the Opposition with regard to Health and Energy Minister Konrad Mizzi and his chief of staff Keith Schembri.

However, I think Muscat should listen to what former Labour prime minister Alfred Sant said about Mizzi. Sant, like the thousands who attended the anti-corruption rally in Valletta, does not want Malta’s reputation to be harmed.

I think that even in Muscat’s Cabinet a majority of ministers feel that Mizzi must go in order to safeguard Malta’s standing.
