Tarxien Rainbows will have one eye on next week’s FA Trophy quarter-final when they take on Mosta this evening.

Tarxien have little to play for in the league after falling 13 points behind fourth-placed Birkirkara in the race for European football slots next season.

Their focus will be more on Tuesday’s FA Trophy match against Balzan so coach Jacques Scerri could be tempted to give a breather to a few first-team regulars.

Midfielder Carlos Hevia and defender Ebiabowei Baker are both ruled out with a one-match ban while midfielder Triston Caruana is still hampered by an injured knee.

Mosta will be at full strength with winger Dyson Falzon reporting back for training after a period on the sidelines while Adrian Borg is expected to shake off a knock he sustained against Sliema last week.

Previous results: Tarxien Rainbows vs Mosta 0-0, 0-0.
