Very few places are left for tomorrow’s Flimkien għal Ambjent Aħjar garden party, being hosted by French Ambassador Béatrice le Fraper du Hellen at her residence in Żebbuġ, directly behind the parish church, at 3pm.

FAA tree experts will take guests round the ancient garden of the ambassador’s residence which is typical of the Maltese walled gardens which accompanied most fine old country houses. Guides will share their knowledge on the trees to be found there, providing gardening tips and information on the problems related to the care of trees.

Professor Alain Blondy will then give a short talk on the history of Maltese oranges, known for their fine quality far beyond our shores since they were traditionally sent as presents to the courts of Europe.

This will be followed by tea and refreshments to be enjoyed on the terrace of the Ambassador’s garden.

Every booked guest needs to provide their printed ticket and ID card. These documents must be presented at the door due to security considerations.

This event is limited to members of Flimkien għal Ambjent Aħjar. Should you wish to become a member, you can do so at http://new.faa.org.mt/how-to-help/become-a-member/. Tickets may be booked by visiting: https://ticketengine.faa.org.mt/

A €15 donation will go towards FAA’s tree-planting initiative.
