Public transport buses that transit through the Qormi park-and-ride depot often stop to change drivers.

There are times when this does not take up too much time but there areoccasions when this changeover isoverly protracted.

However, to wait for a whole 20 minutes for the other driver to turn up is, in my opinion, taking it too far.

This is what happened in the morning of April 8 when I was returning from Mater Dei Hospital aboard bus 120 for Xgħajra.

Surely, patrons who make use of public transport (especially when visiting Mater Dei, where parking is prohibitive) should be treated better.

Even if there is some sort of time schedule in which buses should depart from said depot, surely on that day it could not have been the case of the bus arriving early because we drove at a snail’s pace for half the trip due to a road block caused by a heavy vehicle breakdown.
