When chapels dedicated to the Holy Sacrament were set up, they were meant to be havens of silence but the majority of the faithful persist in reciting the rosary and praying other invocations aloud, to the annoyance and frustration of others who go there for peace, quiet and intimacy.

I urge parish priests and catechists to keep on reminding us faithful to show respect, to realise the importance of silence in our lives and leave these chapels for that purpose and not noisy praying.

Having said that, most chapels have a sign indicating silence and, to mention Ta’ Pinu Sanctuary, in various languages.
