The European Voluntary Service (EVS) enables people aged 17 to 30 to volunteer in Europe and beyond, and supports entities that offer volunteering opportunities. It is funded by the Erasmusplus programme.
Since it was set up 20 years ago the EVS has enabled over 100,000 young volunteers to work for a cause they believe in, such as refugees, the environment, children, the elderly and cultural events.
The service has launched a campaign to attract new organisations and encourage existing ones to offer more volunteering opportunities. The campaign puts a particular emphasis on inclusion and diversity in volunteering projects. The EVS 20 campaign will also reach out to companies involved in corporate social responsibility initiatives, local councils, sports organisations and those working with youth.
Interested organisations and young people may visit the EVS 20 website below or e-mail the EU Programmes Agency on communications.eupa@gov.mt.
