A man has been arrested following a raid in Marsa which yielded cocaine and cash, among other items, the police said.

The raid in a block of garages in Triq il-Gerrejja, Marsa, was carried out after weeks of observation by the police's vice squad, assisted by the Rapid Intervention Unit.

The search yielded 22 packs of white powder, believed to be cocaine, 47 packets of brown packets believed to be heroin, other items related to drugs and cash.

A man was arrested from a shed from where he is believed to have been selling the drugs.

Police are investigating.
