I write in relation to a letter by Tony Gatt entitled ‘On the Buses’ (April 5).

Malta Public Transport apologises for any inconvenience caused by the shortcomings of the driver in question. The company focuses heavily on the safety of its staff and passengers and has a policy of zero tolerance when it comes to mobile use by drivers on board its vehicles.

Malta Public Transport is working hard to improve the overall customer experience and eliminate malpractices such as the ones in question. The company is as vigilant as possible, however, it welcomes feedback from users and the public that helps it to take action.
