Mostly Harmless Productions, in conjunction with Mellow Drama, are producing God’s Official, a hysterical tale about what happens when the lines between football and real life become dangerously blurred.

The play tells the tale of two passionate football fans – Degsy and Cliff – who are devastated to see the team they love relegated following some questionable officiating on the last day of the season.

For the hot-headed Degsy, already struggling to cope with the break-up of his relationship, this football injustice is the final straw.

So he decides to take matters into his own hands – by kidnapping the referee. What ensues is a laugh-out-loud adventure as the incompetent kidnappers struggle to come to terms with the situation, including the referee’s desperate attempts at escaping.

The Mostly Harmless production of God’s Official stars John Montanaro, Steve Casaletto and Chris Dingli.

• God’s Official is being held at the Blue Box in Msida on Friday and Saturday, and April 15,16, 22, 23 at 8pm. Tickets range in price from €10 to €18 and may be obtained from the Blue Box, online at www.bluebox.com.mt or by calling 2124 6644.
