Vincenzo D’Arrò will be holding an exhibition at the Italian Cultural Institute from Thursday.

This exhibition is a homage, with the narration through images, to the thousands of years of history and the centrality that the Mediterranean has, even today. The Mediterranean is seen as an enormous mosaic of different peoples, histories, cultures and religions. D’Arro’s works are metaphors of a voyage through the two dimensions of space and time. Swinging between mythical figures and real events of the Mediterranean, one navigates along that boundless sea called memory.

Born in 1981 at Taormina from a Sicilian father and a Maltese mother, D’Arro is currently a professor at the Accademia di Belle Arti at Catania. He participated in various international exhibitions and competitions.

The inauguration of the exhibition is being held on Thursday at 6pm. Admission is free. The exhibition runs until April 22 and may be visited during opening hours of the institute.
