ATTARD. On April 4, at Villa Messina, Rabat, ROGER of Rabat, aged 69, went to meet the Risen Christ, surrounded by his family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his irreparable loss his sister Pauline Robertson and her partner David Cassar, his brothers and sisters, Anthony, Dominic, Marion, Frank, Theresa, Josephine and Carmen, their respective husbands, wives and partners, his uncles Anthony and Leon Aquilina and his aunt Paulina Clews, his many nephews and nieces, other relatives and his friends, carers and companions at Mtarfa Resource Centre. The funeral leaves Villa Messina today at 1.45pm for St Dominic’s priory church, Rabat, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2pm, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar il-Kaptan, Rotary Drive, Mtarfa, will be appreciated. Special thanks and appreciation go to all the staff at Villa Messina for their dedicated care. LOWELL. On April 2, at Mater Dei Hospital, GODWIN JOHN, widower of Helen, née Micallef Eynaud, aged 87, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church and surrounded by his family. He leaves to mourn his loss his daughter Roslyn and her husband Ray Casolani, his daughter Susan Rizzo, his son Christopher and his wife Joanna, his son Ian and his partner Daniela, his beloved grand­children Kristina, Sarah, Gillian, Nicola, Stephanie, Julian, Jan, Jessica and Julia and their respective spouses and partners, his great-grandchildren Emma and Jack, his in-laws Dennis Garrett, Marigold and her husband Vincent Bonnici, and Ellen Micallef Eynaud, Heike Lowell, his carers Debbie and Ruby, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow for St Julian’s parish church where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. PORSELLA-FLORES. On April 4, JOSEPH F.X., known as Geoffrey, aged 95, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church, surrounded by his family. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Maria, née DeBono, his children Pierina, widow of Eric Zammit, Liliana, wife of Mario Buhagiar, Renzo, George, Marco and his wife Lorraine, his grandchildren Stephanie and her husband Bernard, Martine, Ingrid and her husband Daniel, Sarah and her husband Steve, Andrew and his girlfriend Roberta, his great-grandson Adam George, his brother Vincent Carmel of Brazil and his wife Olga, in-laws, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere celebrating his life and entry into the House of the Father will be said tomorrow at 8.30am at Christ the King parish church, Paola, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. PULLICINO. On April 4, at Mater Dei Hospital, FELIĊ, widower of Nażżarena, aged 93, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his sons and daughters Karmena, Anthony, Gracie, Joe, Mary, Michael, Rita, Salvu, Lawrence, Raymond, Manuel and Patrick, their respective spouses, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 3.30pm for Our Lady of Graces Sanctuary, Żabbar, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 4pm, followed by interment at Żabbar cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

WILMER. On March 31, at Ipswich Hospital, DOUGLAS (Sherlock Holmes), aged 96. He leaves to miss him his wife, Anne, née Harding, her daughter Katherine and her husband William Ricks and grandchildren Anna and George Ricks, his sister-in-law Jean Arkell and her husband John, and their families and his brother-in-law William Harding. A Mass to celebrate his life will be held on Monday, April 25 at 2pm at St. Thomas of Canterbury Catholic church, Woodbridge, followed by cremation. May he rest in peace.
