• Easter Sunday manifestations with the statue of the Risen Christ will be held today as follows: at 8.45am at St George’s basilica, Victoria, with the participation of La Stella Band; at 9am in Nadur with the participation of Mnarja Band, at 9.15am at Kerċem, with the participation of St Gregory Band; at 9.30am at St John Rotunda, Xewkija, with the participation of Precursor Band; at 10.30am at the Cathedral in Victoria with the participation of Leone Band; at 11am in Fontana; at 11am in Qala, featuring the Ite ad Joseph Band; at 4.45pm in Żebbuġ, with the participation of Santa Marija Band; and at 6pm in Għarb with the participation of Visitation Band, and in Xagħra, featuring the Victory Band.

• An activity entitlted ‘Hip Hop Hurray, family fun on Easter Day’ is being held today from 10am to 4pm at Villa Rundle Gardens, Victoria. Entrance is free of charge. Donations will go for Puttinu Cares.

• Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip (U) will be screened at Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, today at 5.30pm.

• An open air Easter musical entitled Inqum u Ngħix, performed mostly by 8- to 12-year-old children, will be held today at 7pm at Arcpriest G. Diacono Street, Xagħra.

• A version of F. Loewe’s My Fair Lady will be staged today at 8pm at Palazzo Palina, Ta’ Ċenc Hotel, to launch the 10th edition of Gaulitana: A Festival of Music, organised by the Gaulitanus Choir. The festival will include a series of varied musical concerts till April 17 and ends with an intensive Opera+ Weekend between April 22 to 24, the highlight of which is a full-scale production of Rossini’s comic masterpiece Il Barbiere di Siviglia. • A event for children entitled ‘Play with Clay’ will be held on Tuesday at the Gozo Nature Museum, the Citadel, Victoria, by Heritage Malta. For details call 2155 6153.

• MUSEUM superior Joe Fenech will hold a prayer and catechesis meeting at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, Victoria, on Thursday from 10 to 11am. All are invited.

• The Police Band, under the direction of Anthony Cassar will give a concert on Thursday at 7.30pm on Independence Square, Victoria, to celebrate Freedom Day.

• Ornithologist and environmentalist Joe Sultana will delivere Wirt Għawdex’s next public lecture entitled ‘From Thevet (1757) to Schembri (1843) – The early years of ornithology in Malta’ on Friday at 6.30pm at St Cecilia Chapel, l/o Għajnsielem. • Members of Il-Fergħa Ewkaristika (Għawdex) will meet at Ta’ Pinu on Saturday at 3pm to celebrate Mass and for adoration of the Blessed Sacrament till 4pm. All are welcome to attend.

• The diocesan Eucharistic Move­ment will hold a prayer eve­ning at Savina Church, Victoria, on Saturday at 8.30pm, followed by Mass at midnight.

• Rothwell Temperance Band, a Championship Section brass band from Rothwell, near Leeds, will give a concert next Sunday at 6pm at the Cittadella Cultural Centre, Victoria.
