More that 10,000 people last night took part in what has become an annual pilgrimage from Mellieħa Church to Senglea - linking the two churches of Our Lady, from Maundy Thursday to Good Friday.

The walk took some four-and-half hours with the participants packing Senglea gate as they arrived at the crack of dawn to applause and enthusiasm.

They raised funds for Puttinu Cares.
