• An activity entitled Ħadd il-Passjoni (Passion Sunday) will be held at Ta’ Passi fields, Għajnsielem, today at 4.30pm by Għaqda Drammatika Għajnsielem.

• A Good Friday procession will leave the cathedral, Victoria, today at 5.30pm.

• A children’s pageant representing the Passion of Our Lord organised by Xagħra Vocational Group will leave Xagħra parish today at 6pm.

• Daddy’s Home (12A) will be screened at Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, today at 5.30pm.

• An exhibition featuring various episodes related to the Passion of Our Lord is taking place in the hall next to St Francis church, Victoria. It is open daily until Easter Sunday from 8am to noon and 3 to 8pm.

• An exhibition of some of the best street decorations commissioned for the village feast of Kerċem during the past 25 years is being held at the Gozo Ministry exhibition hall until next Sunday, organised by Għaqda Armar Madonna tas-Sokkors. The highlight of the exhibition, entitled FestArmar, is the titular wooden statue of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour by Sicilian sculptor Francesco Lo Turco, which was was brought to Kerċem in 1891.

• The Nadur MUSEUM Males Section is holding a Last Supper display at its centre in San Ġorġ Preca Street. The display, which includes 15 life-size statues made by James Azzopardi, will be open today from 9.30 to 11.30am and 3 to 5.30pm, from tomorrow to Wednesday from 6 to 9pm, on Maundy Thursday from 6 to 11pm and on Good Friday from 9.30am to 3pm and 7 to 10pm.

• Good Friday processions will be held at Żebbuġ at 3.45pm, St George’s basilica, Victoria, at 5.30pm, and at Xagħra and Nadur at 6pm.

• Holy Week functions at Ta’ Pinu will include the celebration of the Last Supper on Maundy Thursday at 6.30 pm and the commemoration of the Passion of Christ on Good Friday at 3pm. On Holy Saturday, Bishop Mario Grech will lead a Marian celebration at 9am. The Easter Vigil will start at 8.30 pm. Masses on Easter Sunday will be said at 6.15, 8.30, 10 and 11.15am and at 5pm.

• Holy Week functions at Don Bosco Oratory, Victoria, will be held as follows: the Eucharistic celebration on Maundy Thursday will start at 7pm; the Good Friday liturgy at 4pm and the Easter Saturday celebration at 8pm. On Easter Sunday, Mass will be said at 8am and 10.30am. On Maundy Thursday the seven visits of churches for adolescents and youths will leave Victoria at 9pm. Booking is recommended on 2155 6616 or 9948 7751. On Good Friday, a via crucis at Għammar Hill will be held at 10am, starting from Ta’ Pinu shrine. Everyone is welcome to attend.

• The Legion of Mary Ecumenical Committee is organising visits to the seven churches in English on Good Friday at 9.30am, starting from St Augustine Square, Victoria. Foreign residents of all denominations are invited.

• Holy Week services in English will be held at the Sacred Heart Seminary, Victoria, as follows: On Maundy Thursday, Mass will be at 5pm; on Good Friday, the service starts at 3pm; on Holy Saturday the Easter Vigil Mass is at 7pm; on Easter Sunday, Mass is at 10am. • Fr Joe Caruana will lead the commemoration of the Last Supper on Maundy Thursday at 6pm St Anthony church, Għajnsielem. On Good Friday, Fr Joseph Magro will lead the celebration of the Lord’s Passion at 3.30pm. On Holy Saturday, Fr Caruana will lead the celebration of the Easter Vigil at 8pm, and on Easter Sunday Fr Magro will celebrate Mass at 11am with the participation of the youth band. After Mass there will be the blessing of figolli in front of the church.

• A fundraising concert by the Fallibroome Academy of Performing Arts from Macclesfield, Cheshire, UK, in aid of the Gozo CCU Foundation, followed by afternoon tea at Ta’ Frenċ restaurant, will be held on Saturday at 4pm. • The diocesan Eucharistic Move­ment will hold a prayer eve­ning at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Nadur, on Saturday at 10.30pm, followed by Mass at midnight.

• The Easter lunch of the management of La Stella Band Club and Astra Theatre will be held at a hotel in Gozo next Sunday at 1pm. Tickets are available from the club and main supermarkets.
