Gozo Youth Council has embarked on a project called iLead The Creative Leader Academy aimed at tackling the problem of Gozo’s brain drain problem by empowering youths on the island.

The project’s main objectives are to provide training opportunities for young people in leadership, advocacy and negotiating skills; to provide opportunities for young people to come together and discuss matters that affect them; to enable youths to establish a network of communication with European partners and to provide an opportunity for young people to develop a set of policy recommendations on youth strategies that should be adopted by national and European governments.

Ryan Mercieca is managing the project, which is funded by EEA Grants and SOS Malta and co-financed by Aġenzija Żgħażagħ.
