A 38-year old man from Luqa today was granted bail after he denied harassing his estranged partner with text messages, disturbing public peace at the Paola police station and threatening a man.

He was also accused of breaching the conditions of a suspended sentence.

Magistrate Claire Stafrace Zammit granted him bail against a personal guarantee of €10,000.

He was also ordered not to approach his estranged partner.

Lawyer Geoffrey Vella was defence counsel. Inspector Christabelle Chetcuti prosecuted.
