A car pooling pilot project started earlier this month at the University’s Car Park 4, next to the quadrangle, where 35 parking spaces are reserved from Monday to Friday from 7am to 1pm for cars with a driver and two passengers. The driver and at least one of the passengers must display a parking permit. Two-seater cars must present two parking permits.

The project will be evaluated after two months, and depending on its success, may be extended to the University’s larger car parks.

The project aims to reduce traffic congestion, parking problems and air pollution at the University, and reward participants with lower petrol expenses, guaranteed parking and the possibility of making new friends.

Students wishing to offer or request lifts may visit the website below and fill in the car pooling application.

The project was launched by the University Students’ Council (KSU) in collaboration with the University’s Green Travel Committee and Precincts Office.
