Re/Max Malta’s annual general conference will be addressed by two acclaimed international speakers: Re/Max Italia’s president Dario Castiglia (right) and real estate coach Gil Li-ran (left). The event, which will be held on Friday at the Radisson Blu in St Julian’s, will serve as a training opportunity for the company

The event will span over two days and will feature an analysis of the past year’s performance and announcements of the company’s strategy for this year, culminating with a cocktail reception themed The Night of the Stars, designed to reward the top performers of the company and recognise excellence.

Re/Max Malta’s official trainer, Paul Vincenti, will be among the speakers.

Mr Castiglia is Italian but lived and studied business economics at the University of Toronto in Canada. After working in lumber brokerage, he moved into real estate and has been in this field since 1983. He partnered with Ralph Del Duca in 1984 to establish the Orion Realty Corporation, which joined the franchisor NRS in 1986.

He became involved with Re/Max when setting up operative headquarters in Italy in 1995. Under his leadership, Re/Max Italia has grown to 200+ offices involving 1,500 associates.

Mr Vincenti set up Paul Vincenti Consultants, offering professional training and HR consultancy. His company specialises in real estate agency services, offering targeted training courses with video-guided tutorials to help agents improve their estate management skills.

Mr Gil Li-ran has been involved with Re/Max since 2012, coaching associates worldwide. He has been in charge of Re/Max Israel’s regional office since 2011and is the school director of Re/Max Israel’s Real Estate School.

Re/Max Malta’s COO Jeff Buttigieg said: “We strive to make the most of the possibility of tapping into the know-how of experts to expose local associates to new and diverse teachings and experiences. From the time I initiated such training courses, I have firmly believed in the effectiveness of these courses. We are frequently invited to conventions abroad, organised by Re/Max Global and Re/Max Europe and therefore we wanted to adopt their ways here in Malta too. Usually it is our associates who travel to participate in such conferences, but this time round we invited international real estate training experts to our own conference.”

More than 70 Re/Max sales and letting associates will be recognised for their excellent performance, a number of whom superseded expectations last year. CEO Kevin Buttigieg said: “It is part of our culture to acknowledge our associates’ outstanding performances. During 2015, Malta outperformed Europe on a per capita basis, which makes a statement that although Re/Max has grown exponentially, our service standard is not only second to none but has improved.”
