Amauri: Striker Amauri has left Torino after his contract was cancelled yesterday. The 35-year-old former Juventus and Parma player moved to the Stadio Olimpico in September 2014 but struggled to make much of an impact for Toro.
Fined: A-League leaders Western Sydney Wanderers were fined A$50,000 and given a suspended deduction of three points yesterday for the behaviour of their fans last weekend. Football Federation Australia found the former Asian champions guilty of bringing the game into disrepute after Wanderers fans lit flares and set off detonators during a 1-1 draw at Melbourne Victory.
West Ham: Long-term injury absentees Manuel Lanzini and Diafra Sakho are closing in on a return to action for West Ham. The sixth-placed Hammers will miss Cheikhou Kouyate in tomorrow’s game against Norwich City, while Winston Reid and Joey O’Brien are doubtful.
Arsenal: Arsenal will travel to the United States as part of their pre-season preparations in July, with two fixtures scheduled for Arsene Wenger’s men. The Gunners will take on the best of Major League Soccer in the 2016 MLS All-Star Game at Avaya Stadium in San Jose. The All-Star Game will take place on July 28, with a second fixture coming up against Chivas in Carson three days later and Wenger is looking forward to taking his players across the Atlantic.
