DeGIORGIO. On February 9, in London England, HEIKE née Fontaine aged 60, passed peacefully away. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband David, her daughter Suzanne, her many relatives and friends in Malta, UK and in Germany.

GAMBIN. On February 10, at Villa Messina , Rabat, MARIA née Abela, widow of Guido, at the venerable age of 92, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of the Holy Catholic Church. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her loving sisters Alfreda and Lucia Abela, her nephews and nieces and their respective spouses, great nephews and nieces, and other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege will leave Villa Messina tomorrow, Friday at 7.10am for Santa Maria Assunta Parish Church Dingli where Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated, at 7.30am followed by interment in the family vault at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery Dingli. No flowers by request but donations to the Benedictine Nuns of Birgu, or Sagramentini of Merchants Street Valletta will be appreciated. The family regrets that they are unable to receive visitors. MICALLEF VALENZIA. On February 10 at Mater Dei Hospital. ANTHONY, aged 85, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Wilhelmina, his children Elaine wife of Alec Sultana, and Sarah wife of Alexander Cutajar, his grandchildren Kristina and Daniel, his sisters, Vanna, widow of Patrick Mahoney, Cettina widow of Salvinu Fabri and Polly widow of Michael Mamo, other in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. SPITERI. On February 6, at Mater Dei Hospital, Not. Dr. JOSEPH SPITERI, KOM, aged 95, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Giovanna, his children Tonio and his wife Liliana, Nello and his wife Amanda, Rita and her husband Paul, Marisa and her husband Alan, and John and his wife Roanne; his grandchildren Lara, Ian, Maria, Philippa, Lindy, Kathy, Myrthe, Emma, Sarah, Julia, Christine, Michael, Sean, Ella, Luke and their respective spouses and fiancés. He also leaves to mourn his loss his sister Madalen, his great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Naxxar Local Council today at 3pm. Mass præsente cadavere will be celebrated at Naxxar parish church at 3.45pm, followed by interment at St George’s Cemetery, Naxxar. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Vincent and his wife Anna, Charles and his wife Lourdes, Doris and her husband Charles Zammit, Dominic and his wife Terry and Mary Rose and her husband Jim Williams, her 8 grandchildren and spouses and great-grandchild, relatives and friends.
