The Bib JV consortium, which was responsible for building Parliament House, has denied allegations on Le Iene TV programme that the Grand Harbour Regeneration Projects stopped payments upon the change of government in 2013.

"Payments continued to be made according to the work certified by the GHRC's own architects," the consortium said.

It said the Italian firm CFF Filiberti made a €1.7m claim for extra work in 2014. The claim was accepted and paid.

However the architects then did not accept another claim by the Italian firm. It is the non-payment for that claim which the company is complaining about.
