The following are the top stories in the Maltese newspapers.

Times of Malta reports how a 23-year-old man suffered slight burns from fireworks which were being let off from the Palace in Valletta on Sunday.

It also reports that the Chamber of Advocates has called for more work experience for the judiciary. It says lawyers should have been practising for between 15 and 20 years before being nominated magistrates or judges.

The Malta Independent says the government whip, Godfrey Farrugia, has urged the public to say no to embryo freezing.  It also says the tourism season could shift as the weather gets warmer. 

In-Nazzjon says the prime minister has not replied to key questions on the Gaffarena case.
