Scottish Cup: Favourites Celtic have been drawn at home to Greenock Morton in the quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup, yesterday. The draw at Hampden Park also saw holders Inverness handed a tough tie with a trip to either Hibernian or Hearts. The winners of the Rangers and Kilmarnock replay at Rugby Park will take on Dundee or Dumbarton, who have to play again after a goalless draw, while Ross County host Dundee United with the ties to be played over weekend of March 5 and 6.

Clement: Paul Clement has been sacked as head coach at Derby. The Rams announced yesterday evening that Clement, who was appointed to the role last summer, had been relieved of his duties, with academy director Darren Wassall taking over until the end of the season. Derby are without a win in their last seven league games and lie fifth in the Championship table.

Coentrao: Monaco left-back Fabio Coentrao has broken his foot and risks missing the European Championship. The on-loan Real Madrid defender, 27, suffered the injury during Monaco’s 1-0 Ligue 1 victory over Nice on Saturday. The principality club confirmed the setback on their website but did not publish a predicted recovery period for the Portuguese, who will hope to return in time to represent his country at Euro 2016.

Rotherham: Rotherham have sacked manager Neil Redfearn with immediate effect. The Millers have fallen to 22nd in the Championship table after picking up just one win from their last eight matches and Redfearn has paid the price for the team’s poor form. Last Saturday’s 2-1 defeat away to relegation rivals Bolton Wanderers proved to be the final straw for the Rotherham board.
