The public is, on the whole, being given a poor service by whoever is running public transport. On at least three occasions bus number 186 that passes from Attard to Rabat did not turn up in the morning.

The first time this happened, a complaint was sent to Transport Malta, the second time a letter was sent to the Transport Minister with a copy sent to the Prime Minister and the third time I just walked about three quarters of a mile to get a bus from another route.

On February 1, I had to be in Valletta in the early afternoon, so I tried to catch bus number 54 from Attard to Valletta which was meant to leave Attard at around 1.25pm. Lo and behold, this bus did not turn up, so I had to postpone my appointment to another day.

Is it possible for someone who is meant to know what it is happening to tell us what is going on? Commuters are subsidising the Spanish bus company with their taxes, and have a right to a better service.
