My RAF night-fighter squadron was stationed at Luqa during 1955-1956. In those days, blazer and grey slacks were the civilian uniform of choice and the blazer breast pocket invariably carried a badge of some kind, such as school, squadron or association.

We had our squadron badges made at a shop in Valetta. They were a work of art, made by hand, with embroidery interwoven with gold and silver wire.

Sixty years on, I have just unearthed one of my old squadron badges, still in its original bag from the shop in Valletta. I hereby reproduce the bag. Does anyone remember this home of exquisite workmanship?
