Together for Charity, a new initiative launched by Bank of Valletta, will be supporting Hospice Malta and the Inspire Foundation.

Launching this new initiative, the bank’s chief electronic banking officer Michael Galea explained that for every purchase transaction made with a BOV credit or debit card between until February 29, the bank will be making a donation towards the two NGOs.

“Together for Charity underlines the bank’s resolve to make a positive contribution to the communities in which it operates and highlights its commitment to play an active role in society,” Mr Galea said.

“The more people use their BOV cards to pay for their purchases during this month, the more funds we will be raising,” Mr Galea said.

Hospice Malta seeks to provide the highest level of palliative care to patients while supporting their families through a challenging time, while Inspire works closely with parents and carers to ensure a holistic approach.

In addition to serving a philanthropic purpose, the campaign encourages cardholders to enjoy the convenience of using cards to effect payments, both when shopping in retail outlets and online. Over the past years, the bank has also introduced the BOV 3D Secure functionality, which automatically provides cardholders shopping online with added purchase protection and peace of mind.
