A United Launch Alliance Atlas 5 rocket lifted off from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station today, carrying a $122 million Boeing-built Global Positioning System satellite, the 12th and final member of the upgraded 2F constellation.

The 20-story tall rocket, manufactured and launched by United Launch Alliance, a joint venture of Lockheed Martin Corp. and Boeing Co., lifted off from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station at 8.38am EDT.
