The Notte Bianca team is inviting interested parties to submit expressions of interest to be considered for the 2016 programme.

The 11th edition of Malta’s largest outdoor festival will be held on Saturday, October 1.

“We are again calling newcomers and established artists, craftsmen and creatives who are interested in discussing their ideas and working with us to create memorable projects,” said Sean Buhagiar, artistic director for Notte Bianca.

“We want to listen to any great ideas out there waiting to become fantastic projects. If these fit within our artistic vision for this year, we will be setting up meetings to listen to your concepts and work hand in hand to develop them.”

With over 1,000 participants, over 100 events and growing, Notte Bianca is Malta’s largest platform for artists and creatives alike. Audiences get to experience a multitude of cultural projects, from street and performing arts to visual arts, new media, live music, literature, gastronomy and fairs. With more than 70,000 people flocking to Valletta last year, Notte Bianca has become a culture landmark and one of Malta’s favourite nights out.

The artistic director mentioned some of the future plans for this year’s spectacular celebration of arts and culture.

“This year we also have some great surprises up our sleeve – new media and audiovisual arts are going to get a great boost. We are working towards an exciting two-year run-up to 2018 and have fresh visions just out of our creative oven,” explained Buhagiar.

Application forms may be obtained from the Arts Council Malta at 16, Casa Scaglia, Mikiel Anton Vassalli Street, Valletta or online on www.nottebianca.org.mt.

Applications will be accepted until 12pm on Friday, February 26. Late applications will not be accepted.
