us-driving instructors of Malta Public Transport followed specialised training in Spain last week.

“Road Safety is a top priority for us”, stated Konrad Pule, General Manager of Spanish-owned Malta Public Transport.

“We form part of an international network of transport operations. This gives us an excellent opportunity when it comes to improving the training we provide to our drivers. We can learn from our colleagues and adapt these experiences and successes locally.”

“Our drivers are constantly on the road and are responsible for their own safety, that of our passengers and of the public in general. With over 1,000 drivers and 5,200 trips done every day, we all have a major role to play when it comes to road safety”, explained Mr. Pule.

For the first time, driving instructors were also given training using a professional driving simulator.

MPT recently introduced 143 new buses which are equipped with the latest technology and safety equipment.
