Germany qualified for the 2016 Olympic Games men’s handball tournament after winning their second European Championship with an impressive 24-17 victory over favourites Spain in the final, in Krakow, Poland, yesterday.

The Germans will join hosts Brazil, world champions France, Argentina, Qatar and Egypt at the Aug. 5-21 Games in Rio.

Croatia won the bronze medal with a 31-24 win over Norway.
