“High standards in quality, work ethic and respect for workers are pillars on which Fino has built and sustained its brand for the past 80 years,” said chairman Joseph F. X. Zahra during a commemorative event to celebrate the company’s anniversary at Villa Arrigo in Naxxar.

Established in 1935, C. Fino + Sons Limited is one of the oldest and most reputable furniture houses in Malta.

Mr Zahra said the company thrived thanks to its commitment to quality, loyalty of its workers and sense of enterprise its founders and directors had always shown. Over the years, Fino earned respect through its manufacturing arm and also by representing some of the finest furniture and home-furnishing brands in Europe. Its business operations have expanded to Tunisia and Qatar.

The company presented recognition awards to seven of its employees who have been employed for over 40 years and thanked them for their loyalty: production manager Joseph Farrugia, delivery coordinator Michael Borg, sales and design consultant Anthony Marcel Diacono, handyman Emanuel Zerafa and skilled labourers Anthony Spiteri, Joseph Sperandeo and Angelo Mangion, will all be travelling to Treviso for a few days to visit the Veneta Cucine factory.

A commemorative gift to mark the occasion was also given to the employees. A video highlighting the company’s major events over the years was shown. The senior directors received a portrait by Maltese artist Andrew Micallef to mark this special occasion.
